How we make money

Display ads

We're setting up display advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are labelled "Advertisement" and kept visually separate from our writing. Google chooses which ads appear, advertisers can't influence what we write, and we don't write pages to suit them.

Affiliate links

We don't use affiliate links today. If we add them, any link that can earn us a commission will be labelled, and a commission will never decide which product we recommend.

What brands can't buy

• A place in a ranking or a "best" list
• A review, or changes to one
• Sponsored posts or paid links

We don't accept free products in exchange for coverage. If a company ever lends or gives us a product, we'll say so on the page.

Why we tell you this

You should know who pays for what you read. If you think a page doesn't live up to this, tell us through ourcontact page.
